Lost wins Awards for Charlie’s heroin story
Lost recently won a ‘Prism Award‘ for Charlie’s struggle with heroin withdrawal. The award for “Television Drama Multi-Episode Story Line” went to Lost for the episodes, “Pilot”, “House of the Rising Sun” and “The Moth”.
The Entertainment Industries Council, Inc. (EIC) annually presents the PRISM Awards for outstanding accomplishments in the accurate depiction of drug, alcohol and tobacco use and addiction in film, television, interactive, comic books, music, and video entertainment.
“Lost” won for Television Drama Multi-Episode Story Line for the episodes “Pilot,” “House of the Rising Sun” and “The Moth,” in which Dominic Monaghan’s character, Charlie, overcomes his heroin addiction. “Lost” is produced by Touchstone Television. (from ABC

ACCURATE depiction of heroin addiction? The guy had like one day of sweats and then was fine. That doesn’t seem very accurate to me. Let’s see what happens when he gets word of what was in the Nigerian plane!
Seems weird, the awards they were getting. They also won a family friendly show award right before they showed Hearts and Minds as well. Hmmm….
